about
"39" was intended to be something very different. As I sat down to record, I gripped the neck of my guitar, pressed down on some strings, and accidentally found part of the opening hook that the song is based on. I went with it.
I briefly posted the song up on SoundCloud and to my Facebook feed where John Andrew (Kingmaker, DePHOT) commented and asked if I would like him to add some drums. I sent the files digitally from Denver, CO to John's studio in Hull, England. Several days later, he sent me back an audio file with his contributions which elevated everything.
"39" is supposed to act as an intro track to a second song, entitled 40. That song is still in the works, but, until then, I'm confident that 39 can stand on it's own.
